The Student Center of Academic Achievement at Cal State East Bay wished to have a website a website that was easy to manage. WordPress was chosen as the Content Management System. The challenge was retaining the university’s branding while still giving the site a fresh design. A theme based off of Underscores.me was created and most of the university’s header and footer were rewritten to incorporate CSS3 and responsive design.

With the merger of two Oakland Parks groups (Friends of Oakland Parks and Recreation and Oakland Parks Coalition), a new website was needed.

Drupal was the selected Content Management System because of its great ability to handle many content types. In addition, the Drupal Commerce module allows the non-profit to easily manage the different membership levels.

The site’s sub-theme is based off of Omega 4 and utilizes the Susy grid framework.

Keep Oakland Beautiful Website Additions

Keep Oakland Beautiful wished to make their existing WordPress site easier to manage. I implemented a Custom Post Type so members can easily manage Board Members bios without having to modify a long page. In addition, I installed an Event Calendar plugin so members can easily manage events.

Lastly, I provided training and documentation so members could become more comfortable with WordPress.
